So the story goes... in the early 1900's Auntie Agnes Russel lived in Scotland and developed a wonderful Ginger Compound Concoction, which her local chemist made up for her using Ginger Essence. Her ginger cordial drink was famous in the area where family and friends would partake of the liquid refreshment but recipe was a closely guarded secret and it became known as Russel's Riddle.

Great product. I’ve been making this for years, and I prefer the flaming hot - it’s how I’ve always remembered it.
The last 2 years, I’ve used Splenda instead of sugar, because one family member is borderline diabetic. I don’t think you can tell the difference.
If I’m gifting it, I add foil seals and labels - see photo - and I mix in one crushed Campden tablet per litre, so people can take their time to finish their bottle. I don’t bother if it’s for me, though - it never lasts that long!

I get the flaming hot, use less sugar and less water than they say (I like mine spicy)
It is super easy to make, and mixes well with hot apple cider to add a bit of a kick.
This company bends over backwards to make sure you get the order you want.
Just got to say that, although I have not used it yet, the service and speed of delivery were spot on.
I've had a sniff of the essence and it smells just right to me. I will be making my Ginger Wine over the next week and I'm expecting Nostalgic memories to come flooding back.
Excellent product and great value for money. I paid £10 for 75cl from a shop then decided to make my own. This makes fantastic ginger wine and it's £6.99 for 3 litres...wow. Tastes amazing, soooo easy to do. Great customer service too. Local, good value and quality.
